Sensei Harrison karate biography

Tina Harrison In May 1987, Tina Harrison joined a karate club based in St Mary's Hall, Glossop. She progressed through the grades, starting with her yellow belt in 1987 until she gained her black belt in 1992.

To further her training opportunities, she then moved to Middlesbrough and trained daily under Sensei Walter Seaton, before returning at Easter 1997 and opening this club in May of that year.

Tina Harrison enjoyed success in competitions both national and international, first representing England in 1990. She held the Goole Open National Karate Championships Ladies’ Fighting title for three consecutive years.

Sensei Tina represented England in the European Cup in Budapest in 2007.

Sensei Tina was awarded the coveted 4th Dan in 2004.

Although heavily committed to the Wado style of karate, Tina also practices freestyle martial arts and kick-boxing, where she won Clash of the Titans in 2007.

Sensei Tina ensures she always has an up-to-date enhanced CRB check and a current First Aid certificate.
